The Teaching as a Profession pathway is designed for students interested in careers in education and training, including teaching, counseling, library services, and related fields. Students explore instructional strategies, classroom management, student learning, assessment, special populations, and educational technology while developing leadership and communication skills. Beginning in 8th grade, students can earn high school credit and industry-recognized certifications, such as OSHA 10, CPR, and ParaProfessional Certification. Through hands-on experiences, dual-enrollment opportunities, and a practicum course, this pathway prepares students for postsecondary education and meaningful careers that help others learn and grow.
